Identify the owning record first. Use only synthetic data; application reversals do not automatically reverse external bank/card transfers.
| Error | Start from | Check |
|---|---|---|
| Incorrect sale payment | Sale payment detail | Owner, date/method/amount and reversal reason |
| Incorrect collection allocation | Collection detail | Entire allocation, discounts and residual credit |
| Returned commercial goods | Sale return flow | Item, quantity/amount and physical-stock decision |
| Incorrect completion | Sale lifecycle | Payment/credit commitment/stock and eligible reopen/cancel |
| Incorrect electronic document | E-invoice detail | Document state/cancel; sale/payment separate |
Correct payment or collection
Open the same test customer's sale/account history. Choose payment reversal or whole collection reversal by ownership. Do not independently reverse a collection-owned payment. Enter reason and verify target.
Reread active payments, debt, credit, net balance and history. Prepare a new collection only after the old outcome is definite. Verify that reversal does not reduce the same amount twice.
Commercial return
Open the item's return. Physical goods return differs from price/amount correction. Review quantity, stock destination and financial result. Payment reversal returns no goods; a commercial return may not reverse every payment.
Uncertain response
Reread the same sale/collection after network failure. Do not create another payment/return/independent opposite entry while uncertain. Provide transaction reference/time/status to support without unnecessary sensitive data.
