Record a sale
Start the customer, item, and payment flow from the sales list.
Platform · Last verified:
Starting route: /sales
Required access: Sale creation must be available to your role.
- Open Sales → Records.
- Use New sale to open the sale window.
- Choose customer/patient context and add products or services. Select Sale Item can open for item selection.
- Review the cart's quantity, unit, and amount preview; complete save/payment actions with the relevant permissions.
- Reopen the saved sale from
/sales.
Review the cart amount before saving. To collect an open balance, go to Open balances on /sales/collections. Customer Accounts.
To find the product in the catalog and review its stock first, see from product to sale. For a later payment, see collect an open balance; for a recorded sale return, see return a sale.
Cart fields and example
Products relate to physical stock; services relate to service pricing. Confirm whether quantity means packages or base units: two boxes and two doses differ. Review gross totals after VAT and item discounts. Two items at a gross 120 TRY unit price total 240 TRY before discounts; this is a synthetic calculation example.
Check customer, optional patient, currency, unit and payment selection. A saved sale is the actual result, unlike an unsaved cart preview.
Verify the saved result
Inspect items, total, payments/open amount and relevant stock links. Saving a sale does not always collect its entire value; remaining debt can be collected later.
Review selections after stock or stale-price warnings. After interruption, inspect sale lists and customer movements before repeating creation. See stock and money and collections.
