Locations, suppliers, movements and counts
Track physical location, supplier and quantity adjustments correctly.
Platform · Last verified:
Use Inventory → Locations / Suppliers / Movements. Creating a location adds no stock; creating a supplier records no invoice.
Locations and suppliers
- Search existing names. Complete name and offered description/contact fields.
- Save and verify the intended detail.
- Select the physical location/supplier during intake; an earlier choice does not suit every product.
- Read linked-stock/work warnings before editing/deactivating/deleting. Removal does not rename historical movements.
Read/create movements
Filter Movements by product, date, reason, location and offered scope. Intake, sale/administration consumption, count/adjustment and returns have different reasons. Read whether quantity is packages or base units.
For an offered movement/adjustment:
- Choose product and actual stock source.
- Enter real quantity/unit, date and reason.
- Review effect and save.
- Check physical amount and new movement in product/location detail.
Counts, opened packs and shortages
Count closed packages and opened remainder separately. One closed 100 ml bottle plus 20 ml open is not 21 units. A depleted closed batch does not prove absence in another batch/open pack.
Physical correction and historical opening stock differ. For unallocated consumption/unresolved cost, open shortage reconciliation; do not hide it with fictitious batches or price changes. Correct erroneous sale/administration through its owner action rather than consuming stock twice manually.
Use invoice import for newly received invoice stock. Verify location/unit before considering intake complete.
