Catalog, pricing and administration-route tariffs
Manage product/service identity, clinic price and administration tariffs separately.
Platform · Last verified:
Start in Inventory → Products / Services. A catalog entry adds no quantity; stock intake is separate.
Create/edit products
- Search name, barcode or SKU for an existing identity.
- Complete type/category, name, manufacturer/brand and identity fields.
- Choose offered package unit, capacity/base unit and sub-unit-sale rules. Recheck units after category/type changes.
- Fill applicable ingredient, concentration or catalog fields for vaccine/medication/other categories.
- Save and verify identity, active state and stock/pricing detail. Successful creation is active rather than awaiting another administrator approval.
Editing identity, pricing and stock are separate actions. Do not repurpose a historically used product. Inspect identity/name conflicts rather than fragmenting stock/vaccine mappings through duplicates.
Product price and VAT
Read effective prices in product detail as tax-inclusive; price-writing fields are labelled excl. VAT/net. Recheck the current field: sale carts, invoice import and inpatient forms can use different input bases. Catalog/clinic price, purchase cost, package/sub-unit and administration price differ.
An explicitly reported default tax rate is not a confirmed product tax record. Reopen effective price after edits and avoid applying one percentage universally. Money example.
Services and tariffs
- Create/edit from Services, completing name, category, state and price/tax.
- Check the patient's species for offered species-specific prices.
- In Administration Route Pricing, select default/alternative services for the route. Save and inspect linked route badges and effective product application price.
- An explicitly selected unavailable tariff is not silently replaced; resolve its feedback.
Product-specific administration price and route-service tariff are alternatives, not additive charges. Read affected routes before deactivating/deleting a mapped service. Example: inspect package selling price and administration fee separately; stock consumption is another outcome.
