Read analytics metrics and report differences
Periods, scope, sales, collections, refunds, and stock metrics.

Analytics is a reporting surface. Use the owning sale, appointment, patient, or inventory workspace to change records.
Set the report scope
- Select financial, operational, customer, inventory, or staff analytics.
- Review period and user/category filters.
- Consider clinic timezone and the metric's date basis.
- Read cards, charts, and details after loading/refresh completes.
Do not turn the first visible table page into a clinic-wide total. Check scope when chart downloads/exports are offered.
Distinguish financial measures
Sales/revenue, collections, refunds, and outstanding balances differ. A sale can use an earlier advance; an earlier sale can be paid today. Credit usage is not new cash received.
A net-cashflow metric can already subtract refunds. Check metric meaning/period before subtracting them twice. Payment and sale dates can differ. Read currency from the source and keep different currencies separate.
Operations and stock
Appointment count differs from actual attendance; examination count differs from visits. Cancellation, no-show, and completion represent different cohorts. Inspect period inclusion through details.
Stock row count differs from product count. Closed packages, opened units, inventory cost/value, and selling prices differ. A shortage indicator does not establish all physical stock.
When two screens disagree
| Report area | Scope to compare |
|---|---|
| Overview/finance | Revenue, collection, expense and average transaction; collection is not new revenue |
| Operations | Performed, planned and billed work; visit closure is not payment |
| Customers | New/returning customers, period and connection; customer count is not patient count |
| Inventory | Product/batch, closed/open amounts, cost/value, risk and unresolved shortages |
| Staff | Person/period and task/appointment/work scope; planning is not attendance |
Use a card's detail entry and inspect propagated date/filters. Tax-included/excluded revenue, collection dates and net/gross profitability differ. Read unresolved-cost limitations; missing cost is not zero. Do not reconstruct totals from a limited first page.
Compare period, timezone, scope, and filters. Then check cancellation/returns, activity, sale/payment dates, and update state. Permission-limited details differ from aggregate indicators.
Use owning records for specific questions. Do not reconstruct definitive totals from limited sample rows. Give Veti the period and metric you need.
