Clinical records

Files, reports, and sharing links

Preview files, print reports, inspect sharing history, and revoke access.

Platform · Last verified:

Uploading a file, printing a report, and creating access through a sharing link are distinct. Check patient/customer, document, and recipient at each step.

Upload and preview

In Files, check type, record context and offered filters. List/grid and multi-selection are different presentations; a linking picker and general File Manager are different modes.

  1. Open the relevant patient/clinical record area or Files.
  2. If permitted, select the file and follow supported format/size guidance.
  3. Wait for completion and preview the correct document, date, and context.
  4. If linked to an examination/diagnostic record, reopen it from that detail.

Listing a file does not prove it is linked to the intended examination. Removing a relationship differs from deleting the file.

Upload queue and document result

File Manager/global uploads support up to 2 GB per file; narrower prescription, task, receipt or diagnostic format/size limits take precedence. Inspect each file's progress/error/success. Cancel/retry affects its queue; do not create an uploaded file again. Closing a window does not prove upload-panel work completed.

Selecting, uploading and linking an existing file are separate results. For disabled candidates, inspect format, context and access. Read individual/selected-file scope in remove/delete confirmation.

Verify the document actually opens through Preview / Download / Print. Browser download/window restrictions or changed source can cause failure. Refresh the source and use the existing PDF; do not create another signature merely to repair output. Regulatory export differs from an ordinary report PDF.

Use the document's examination, diagnostic, prescription, or epicrisis preview/print action. Check patient, veterinarian, date, content, and attachments. Printing a sale summary does not issue an electronic invoice.

A Veti epicrisis can be a document draft/revision; it does not replace persisted clinical findings or a signature. Distinguish saved documents from earlier chat text.

Share a signed examination

  1. Open sharing from the signed examination.
  2. Review content, access, and validity options.
  3. Check recipient information when requested.
  4. Send the generated link only to the intended recipient.
  5. Inspect validity and permitted revocation in shared-report history.

The link provides access to its report. Keep it out of public locations. Expired, revoked, or no-longer-valid links may not show content. A viewing event does not prove that someone read the entire report.

Check sharing after corrections

Reopening a signed examination revokes earlier shares. Signing again does not reactivate those links. If needed, preview the current report and create a new share. Distinguish an earlier signed revision from the current report.

Patient-owner app visibility differs from an explicit share link. Check visibility and previews in their respective product surfaces.

Common problems

Sharing unavailable: check record state, role, and sharing access. File unavailable: check upload completion, relationship, and access. Link unavailable: check validity and whether it represents the current report.
