Diagnostic, laboratory, and imaging records
Patient-specific studies, results, media, confirmation, and AI analysis.

Diagnostics distinguishes study records, imaging orders, results/media, and analysis. An order does not make results ready or confirmed.
Find or create a study
Use clinical orders to request new work. A laboratory/imaging request differs from adding an existing result.
Find the correct record by patient, type, date, and state. Imaging orders have a separate list. If permitted, use New Diagnostic or New Imaging Order, reviewing patient and procedure.
When an order opens study details, verify patient, study/date, and current state. Search existing studies before creating duplicates.
Review results and media
Manual, OCR and file paths
For manual results, enter patient, study/test type, actual date and value/unit/reference information. For OCR, upload the original image/PDF and compare extracted fields after processing. Raw file intake does not guarantee extraction of every structured value. Verify retained examination/order context if starting there.
After interrupted reading/upload, inspect task/study state before restarting the same file as another study. Unreadable is neither zero nor normal.
Details provide Overview and History, with Results, Media, or AI Analysis depending on study type. Read laboratory values with units, ranges, and flags; preview the correct imaging media/study.
Uploading or automatically extracting a file does not establish a verified clinical result. Compare extracted fields with the original and preserve missing/unreadable information.
Confirm and link to examination
Correction of a confirmed result can create a pending revision. Distinguish confirmed content from changes awaiting review; it is not replaced until correction is confirmed. Check history/version for the intended content. Media removal is not cancellation of the entire confirmed result.
Read the effects of permitted Confirm/Cancel actions. Use the appropriate confirmed study for the same patient when linking to an examination. Check the study/revision represented by an examination's linked result.
AI analysis and report
Use Request AI Analysis when available for the correct record/results. Distinguish started, pending, and completed states. Analysis is decision support, not a confirmation or replacement for veterinarian assessment.
Check patient, date, units, and attachments in preview/print. Use authorized device-management/support flows for connection setup; this guide does not describe technical device profiles.
