Sale cart, state and corrections

Save sales and distinguish payment, stock, return and cancellation effects.

Platform · Last verified:

Start in Sales → Records or patient/customer/examination/visit context. Reuse an existing linked sale instead of billing the same work twice.

Cart and save

  1. Verify customer/patient or walk-in context.
  2. Select products/services and any clinical source item.
  3. Review quantity/unit, stock, tax-inclusive unit price and discounts. Package quantity is not administration dose.
  4. Check totals after item/general discounts. Pricing example.
  5. Save and open current detail; track payments and credit/commitment choices through their own outcomes.

Initial items may remain in-progress/planned. Payment, invoicing or credit commitment starts stock/financial effects; credit intent alone is not completed work. Sale state, payment state and stock commitment differ. Completing a zero-total sale does not create a zero payment.

Editing and clinical items

Read remaining quantity/price and stock feedback. Payment/return history does not make every sale read-only; eligible remaining-item correction retains prior return history. Reopening does not automatically reverse all payments.

Deleting/changing a clinically linked item does not correct its administration/examination. Complete the offered clinical/stock correction and reread the sale.

Cancel, delete and return

Cancellation has its own confirmation and may be blocked by retained payment/return. Deletion is a different access/removal action. Return reduces commercial value; use item/amount return. Payment reversal does not reduce gross sale total.

Example: when editing the remaining item after a return, do not resubmit the prior returned item. After a lost response, inspect detail/movements rather than recreating sale/payment.
