Find screens, records and the correct result

Use the dashboard, menus, search, filters and record details.

Platform · Last verified:

Platform's dashboard shows the clinic day, summaries, quick actions and work requiring attention. Opening a count does not always show every clinic record in the same list; read its period and scope.

Find a record

  1. Open the module from the menu or search for the record name globally.
  2. Check the result type: customer, patient, appointment, sale and staff member are different records.
  3. For patients sharing a name, compare owner, species and available identity information.
  4. Review list filters. Date, active/state and veterinarian choices may narrow results.
  5. Open the record and verify its patient/customer, date and state for the intended task.

Lists and details

A row's dialog and a full-page detail can be different entries to the same record. Keep the parent context when opening related records. Back or closing returns to the list; inspect your draft before accepting an unsaved-changes warning. [fp] in an example address is a placeholder replaced by the real record identity.

Empty, restricted or stale results

An empty list does not prove a record never existed. Clear filters and check clinic/access. Reopen current data if another user changed it. Do not bypass access by creating a record under the wrong customer.

Example: if an older sale is absent after opening this month's sales card, change the period first. Customer debt can have a different scope from sale totals. Screen directory, record scope, access troubleshooting.
